HYDERABAD:

In a petition challenging the collection of parking fee by the Cantonment Board of Hyderabad (CBH), the Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered on Wednesday the CBH to submit a reply to avoid its chief executive being called in person. The petitioner, advocate Ghulam Faiz Sajid Arbab, has pointed out at least eight locations from where the fee ranging from Rs10 to Rs30 is being collected in violation of the apex court's and SHC's earlier orders. The Hyderabad police said that the matter pertained to the CBH, which did not submit the reply. The court fixed the next hearing in the first week of December. The petitioner pleaded the court order an end to the collection of the fee.
