Loudspeaker Violation: FIR lodged against PTI, JI leaders

An FIR was registered at the Jamshed Quarters police station

KARACHI: The police have booked the leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) under the Sindh Sound Regulation Ordinance for violating the ban on the use of loudspeaker during an oath-taking ceremony at the VIP gate of Mazar-e-Quaid on Tuesday. An FIR was registered at the Jamshed Quarters police station. Jamshed Quarters SHO Muhammad Ikhlaq confirmed the registration of the FIR against the leaders. "They [PTI and JI] held a ceremony without getting permission from the authorities and now a case has been registered against PTI leader Ali Zaidi and JI leader Hafiz Naeemur Rehman," he explained. Arrests have yet to be made.
