women rights: Awareness drive to be launched

LAHORE: Women Development Department Secretary Amna Iman said on Tuesday that the department would initiate a province-wide campaign to check violence against women in cooperation with Oxfam and Aurat Foundation. Iman made the comments at a meeting convened in connection with the campaign. She said an MoU had been signed between the department and Oxfam in this regard. Iman said the first event to be organised in connection with the campaign would be held in Kasur. She said arrangements for it had been finalised.
