Relief: Death sentence commuted to life term

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has converted the death sentence of two murder convicts into life imprisonment. Muhammad Waheed alias Waheeda had been sentenced to death on March 16, 2011, under Section 302(b) (murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). He had appealed to the LHC against the sentence. Khurram Shahzad had been sentenced to death on August 26, 2011, under the same section of the PPC.
