An additional district and sessions judge issued notices on Saturday to a station house officer (SHO) and an SDPO for not producing in the court three police officials accused of beating a man to death. Judge Sher Abbas Awan also attached the salary of the Burki SHO. He had earlier ordered the SHO to produce Inspector Attique, Sub-Inspector Sarwar and reader Abdur Razzak before the court in a case accusing them of torturing to death one Abdus Sattar. On Saturday, the SHO could not produce the accused in the court of the judge. Upon this, Judge Awan ordered the Burki Superintendent of Police (SP) and the SDPO to submit a report in this regard on November 22 and adjourned the hearing.
