KARACHI:

Events such as the International Investment Conference in Islamabad are always helpful in fetching foreign investment for the country and should be held frequently in all four capitals besides Islamabad, said Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Maqsood Ismail.

“Such conferences must be productive and meaningful as foreign investment plays a critical role in the economic uplift of any country, especially Pakistan, which is still in the phase of re-establishing its image abroad,” Ismail said in a statement.

The LCCI chief added that Balochistan is, by all means, the most neglected part of Pakistan but very attractive for foreign investors from various fields, particularly mining, natural resources, agriculture and infrastructure.
