Sindh food department: Option to export wheat being explore
The committee would also approach the government for an extension in the date for the export of wheat
KARACHI:
A meeting of the Sindh Cabinet’s committee presided by the Sindh Food Minister on Thursday decided to explore the prospects of exporting wheat surplus to international markets. The committee would also approach the government for an extension in the date for the export of wheat. Export of wheat would help earn foreign exchange in addition to utilising the existing surplus stock. The meeting expressed satisfaction at the swift release of wheat from the warehouses of the Sindh Food Department as well as the recovery of the dues from the flour mills.
