He was addressing the officers at the FESCO headquarters on Tuesday.
The CEO also told them to ensure clearance checking of important roads and squares in the city so that there is no possibility of losses. He said a plan had been finalised to change overloaded power transformers at various grid stations. New grid stations would be established in Faisalabad, Chenab Nagar and Mamu Kanjan to improve the distribution system, the CEO added.
A state-of-the-art grid station, equipped with geographic information system (GIS), is also under construction at Jhal Khanuana in Faisalabad district where an 80MVA power transformer would be installed.
“This is the most important load centre of the city…work on other grid stations will begin after renovation of this station is complete,” the FESCO chief said.
Earlier, Development Chief Engineer Masood Salahud Din briefed the participants of the meeting on how the Asian Development Bank was helping the company augment the Athara Hazari, Ahmed Pur Sial, Garh Maharja and Kala Bagh grids stations. He said the idea was to be able to provide better services to consumers.
The Sargodha and Mianwali executive engineers (SS&T) I, II, said that they had completed 80 per cent of the patrolling of transmission lines, cleaning of discs and trimming of trees.
They said the remaining 20 per cent work would be completed soon.
Operations General Manager Haroon Rashid, Chief Commercial Officer Sardar Masood and T&G Chief Engineer Nizamud Din also attended the meeting.
