Reference: Justice Iqbal remembered

The VC said being named after Allama Iqbal was an honour for the university

The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Tuesday announced to establish an Iqbal Corner at its central library and to publish a research journal on the life and works of Allama Iqbal. VC Dr Shahid Siddiqui said the corner would be inaugurated by the end of this month. He was addressing a condolence reference for late Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal. Siddiqui also announced to publish a compilation of speeches by Javed which he delivered during his visits to AIOU over the last 10 years. Speakers, which included Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik, Kishwar Naheed and Dr Ayub Sabir, paid tribute to the late judge. The VC said being named after Allama Iqbal was an honour for the university.
