RAWALPINDI: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) has developed a free job portal ‘Skilled Labor Marketing Information System’ (SLIMS) for around 100,000 of its job-seeking graduates, said Director Apprenticeship Waheed Asghar here Tuesday. “We have developed the portal for the convenience of our job-seeking graduates who can upload their CV which can then be accessed by interested employers thereby offering jobs to the unemployed youth,” he told a briefing held at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). Waheed said the portal facility is being offered free of cost. According to Asghar, Tevta has been offering technical and vocational training programmes to the youth of the province in around 600 trades for the last four years. “So far around 0.2 million youth have completed their courses and a number of them are already employed.”
