Six militants killed in Kalat search operation

Automatic weapons recovered from the possession of the militants, says FC spokesperson

QUETTA: At least six militants belonging to a banned outfit were killed as they engaged in an exchange of fire with Frontier Corps (FC) in Johan area of district Kalat in Balochistan on Sunday.

According to an FC spokesperson, automatic weapons were recovered from the possession of the militants.

Earlier on October 26, 10 suspected militants including five of their facilitators were arrested in three separate search operations in Harnai, Dera Bugti and Kalat and Kohlu areas of the province.

The militants were reportedly involved in attacks on public transport and oil tankers on RCD highway.

On Thursday, 23 militants, including two commanders, of the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch United Army (UBA) surrendered before the chieftain of Marri tribe Nawab Jangaez Marri.
