Defeating the hardliners

KARACHI: This is with reference to your editorial of April 28 titled ‘Time to defeat the hardliners’. The fact is that the hardliners and their sympathisers are gaining ground in this country — slowly but surely. Extremists are gradually taking root in every village, every town, every slum and even in the affluent parts of our cities. And our politicians and civil society are doing absolutely nothing to challenge them.
