'Tiny Chef Show' “saved” after viral cancellation and fundraising efforts as creators confirm return

The Tiny Chef Show has been “saved” after a viral fundraising campaign allowed creators to continue the beloved animated series.

Following its cancellation in June, the show gained massive attention after a video featuring Tiny Chef crying over a phone call from Nickelodeon went viral across social media. Millions of new fans quickly mobilised in support.

Creators launched a crowdfunding campaign via the Tiny Chef website, urging viewers to donate or join the “Fan Cwub” to help keep the project going. Enough funds were raised to continue production, although no new television deal has been confirmed.

A recent Instagram post announced, “The team is getting ready to turn the tiny cameras back on in Chef’s tree stump home because you all have SAVED TINY CHEF!”

The creators credited the community for making the continuation possible: “The outpouring of love messages, fan art, and donations have truly meant the world to the team. We are excited to get back to work and capture Chef’s next journey!”

Details on the format and schedule of the new content remain unclear. It is yet to be announced whether the team will produce full episodes or focus on shorter online clips, which have previously driven the show's popularity.

The Tiny Chef Show, once a lesser-known property, has become a global favourite almost overnight. Its message of kindness and creativity, combined with the viral success of its cancellation reaction, sparked a level of engagement that few animated shows achieve.

No release date has been confirmed, but the team’s next steps are now underway.
