Naeem Khan | 8 years ago | Reply Why any one is surprised on their conduct. The elite in Pakistan are above the laws of the land and some of them has gotten away with murders. The laws are made only for the common and down trodden citizens of Pakistan. I blame the people, why do they vote for people like these in the first place. If the constituents will reject them for ignoring and floating the laws and rules, they will take notice. Above all it is time to revamp the whole electoral system, 2 years tenure for the national and provincial assemblies, 3 years for the Senators, President and Senator must be elected directly by the people. One would see different kind of politicians if these reforms are made because they would know that they will be out of office after 2 or 3 years. 5 years of tenure is a long time and people have short memories and these crooked politicians realize that and get away with all kind of shenanigans.
