The Hindu extremist organisation has pledged not to let Pakistani actors promote their films in Maharashtra.

Sidharth Malhotra has joined countless Bollywood celebs who have offered support to Pakistani actors following threats by Hindu extremist organisation -- Shiv Sena.

Last week, many actors and filmmakers slammed Shiv Sena for pledging not to let Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan promote their upcoming films in Maharashtra. And now Sidharth has also spoken up in favor of his Kapoor and Sons co-star.

"Everybody has the freedom to work. He has been working with us for a while now. I believe creativity crosses border," Sidharth told reporters here at the opening ceremony of the 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival, reports DNA.

The 30-year-old Hasee Toh Phasee actor will share the screen space with the Pakistani actor and Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar's upcoming directorial.
