LAHORE: Seven people were killed and 13 others were injured in a road accident near Shamkay Bhattian on Thursday. A Rescue 1122 spokesman said the driver of an Okara-bound bus lost control when a tyre burst near Shamkay Bhattian. He said the bus skidded into the wrong lane where two oncoming mini-vans ran into it. He said four people died on the spot. Rescue 1122 teams took the injured to a hospital, where three people were declared dead on arrival. The spokesman said the injured had been identified as Amir Mehmood, 20, Akram, 25, Takbeer, 29, Mohsin, 28, Sumera, 30, Akhtar Abbas, 32, Fayyaz, 26, Faheem, 35, Ashiq, Imran, Sadia, 22 and Asad, 19. He said police had taken the bodies to the morgue for autopsy.
