Death warrants issued for four convicts

The judge fixed November 4 for the execution of convict Ghulam Rasool, involved in a murder case

District and Sessions Judge Bahadar Ali Khan on Wednesday issued death warrants for four murder convicts. He also deputed judicial magistrates to oversee the hangings scheduled for the first week of November.


The judge fixed November 4 for the execution of convict Ghulam Rasool, involved in a murder case. South Cantonment police had registered an FIR against him in 2000. Ghulam Naseer is scheduled to be hanged on November 3. Lower Mall police had registered an FIR against him in 1997 under charge of murder. Manzoor Ahmad will be executed on November 3 at central jail. Raiwind City police had registered an FIR against him in 1996 in a murder case. The district and sessions judge also issued death warrants for Akram alias Dhola, in a murder case, for November 11. Sabzazar police had registered the case against him in 1998.
