Muharram processions: Commissioner lauds security efforts

The Sukkur commissioner appreciated the efficiency and hard work of the police and Rangers personnel

SUKKUR: The Sukkur commissioner, Muhammad Abbas Baloch, on Sunday lauded the security measures taken by the police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies in the Sukkur division in order to maintain peace on Muharram 10. The commissioner, in a statement, also appreciated the role of the Ulema of various schools of thought who promoted religious harmony, which helped the administration avoid any untoward incidents during the Muharram processions. He also appreciated the efficiency and hard work of the police and Rangers personnel under the command of the DIG police Sukkur zone, Sindh and Sukkur commander of the Sindh Rangers.
