ANF Raid: 13 foreigners released from captivity
The raid was conducted on a tip-off, claimed the spokesperson
KARACHI:
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) released 13 kidnapped foreigners and seized narcotics during a raid in Dur Muhammad Village. The foreigners were taken hostage as guarantors for the shipment of a drug consignment, said the ANF spokesperson. The captives included eight Tanzanian nationals. The other five hailed from Nigeria. The raid was conducted on a tip-off, claimed the spokesperson. The officials said that ANF also seized narcotics worth millions of rupees. More than 20 kilogrammes of hashish and one kilogramme of heroin were seized from the site. The foreigners will be sent back to their countries after completion of legal process.
