Check post attack: Suspected militant arrested from BKIA

PESHAWAR: The counter-terrorism department has arrested a suspected militant, Aziz, from Bacha Khan International Airport. Aziz had landed there from Saudi Arabia. CTD Malakand region had been on the hunt for Aziz for years as he was wanted by the police. Aziz was suspected to be involved in an attack on Shamozai police check post in 2009, when Taliban insurgency was at its peak in the region. However, Aziz later fled to Saudi Arabia to escape arrest. He is a resident of Shamozai, located in Swat. After being arrested, Aziz was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
