Foiled again: Suicide vests and explosives seized
The accused was shifted to an unknown location for interrogation
MANSEHRA:
The counter-terrorism department confiscated two suicide jackets and explosive materials from an alleged member of a banned outfit in Balakot. In a joint operation, CTD and intelligence agencies raided and arrested the accused on Saturday. Along with the arrest, officers also seized two suicide vests with 50kg of explosives, wires, safety fuse and other materials used in terror activities. The search party also seized Jihadi literature and a uniform that looked like it was of the security forces from the house. The accused was shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. The CTD officials believe the accused, whose identity is not being disclosed for security purposes, might have had a plan to target Muharram processions. Investigation is currently under way.
