Sigbghatullah said that Edhi Foundation Lahore would use all resources at its disposal to provide emergency services to Muharram gatherings and would remain on a high alert. He said that more than 100 Edhi ambulances and paramedical staff would be appointed on major points in the city.

The Rescue 1122 DG asked about arrangements at different districts and examined working of control rooms.
He was informed that all the districts had prepared emergency plans for Muharram in accordance with the directions issued by the Home Department. He was informed that over 7,000 Rescue staff would perform their duties during Muharram.
Brig (r) Zia visited Karbala Gamay Shah, Bhati Gate, Anarkali, Nisar Haveeli and Mochi Gate in Lahore and directed District Emergency Officer Dr Ahmad Raza to monitor the situation. He was informed that ambulances carrying medical kits would escort the processions to provide mourners with immediate treatment where needed.
