Curbing hate speech: Four banned outfit members arrested
One unlicenced TT pistol, 1,088 pamphlets, eight books and six magazines, four mobile phones, 24 CDs confiscated
PESHAWAR:
A special police unit of the counter-terrorism department arrested four members of a banned outfit in Hassan Garhi area of the city on Saturday. According to the police, the four men were distributing pamphlets and books which propagated sectarian hatred in the locality. Special police took them into custody. They have been identified as Umar, a resident of Charsadda Road, Saqib Ali, a resident of Faqirabad, Abdul Haq, a resident of Tehkal Payan and Muhammad Atif, a resident of Hazar Khwani. One unlicenced TT pistol, 1,088 pamphlets, eight books and six magazines, four mobile phones, 24 CDs and a CPU were confiscated from them. The four men were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
