LAHORE:

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday submitted two resolutions in the Punjab Assembly secretariat seeking stringent price control measures for dairy products and stricter laws against sale of spurious drugs.

The resolution on price control urged the provincial government to reverse a recent hike in prices of dairy products like milk and yoghurt. The resolution also calls upon the government to stop adulteration of milk. It also sought legislation to introduce strict penalties for those caught selling adulterated milk.

The other resolution sought stricter laws to check production and distribution of spurious drugs. It said several deaths had been reported in recent years from use of such drugs. It said the Anti Drugs Force had failed to take action against the culprits. It sought strict penalties for those caught making and selling spurious drugs.
