
According to the International Olympic Committee requirements, only the top 69 Asian teams can make it to Rio as part of their quota.
A total of 14 men and three women have confirmed their participation in the Asian event, scheduled to take place in Kuwait from November 1-12.

However, the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) is only going to sponsor four shooters while the rest will be self-financed.
“This is our last chance to win a place for Rio, and for this we have chosen only four shooters – Usman Chand, Minhal Sohail, Zeeshan, and Ghulam Mustafa – who have the potential to make the cut,” NRAP Executive Vice- Razi Ahmed Khan told The Express Tribune, adding that if they failed to do so, they would hope to then receive wildcard entries.
