Under control: Fire breaks out on train

Two fire tenders from the KMC and Pakistan Railways managed to get the blaze under control after half-an-hour

KARACHI: A train coach was gutted when a fire broke out at Cantonment Railway Station on Friday.

Two fire tenders from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and Pakistan Railways managed to get the blaze under control after half-an-hour. Officials said that the Awami Express coach was at the Washing Lane after it was declared unfit due to some technical fault. It has yet to be ascertained whether the fire erupted accidently or any criminal act was behind the incident.
