RAWALPINDI: Punjab IGP Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera on Monday suspended DSP Malik Tariq from service for his alleged negligence in the investigation of the Sabira Bibi murder case. Sources said the decision was taken after an inquiry report against the DSP Civil Lines was completed.  Earlier, two SHOs, an investigation officer and two constables were suspended from service for their negligence in the case. Sabira was allegedly murdered at the behest of Taji Khokhar, an alleged land-grabber, in Dhoke Gangal over a land dispute in August 2012. Khokhar and several others including his sons are on judicial remand in Adiala Jail since 2013. Meanwhile, at the last hearing of the Sabira murder case on Saturday, several witnesses recorded their statements. The next hearing will take place on October 10.
