Target killing: Shopkeeper narrowly escapes death

Police have filed an FIR and begun further investigation.

MINGORA: Assailants opened fire on a shopkeeper and damaged his shop in Odigram on the outskirts of Mingora in Swat Thursday night. According to an official of Balogram police station, Samiullah was sitting in his shop when two masked men travelling on a motorbike approached his shop and shot at him. “He ducked down behind sacks of flour and lentils and narrowly escaped death,” said the official. However, his shop was damaged due to the intensive firing. The official said Samiullah did not have any enemies and the cause behind the shooting is still unknown. Police have filed an FIR and begun further investigation.
