The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Thursday sealed a beverages company’s sales facility on Saggian Road for not producing record of draining unusable soft drinks, leaking of beverage tins and dirty floors laced with syrup and grease.


The authority’s Data Ganj Bukhsh Town team, led by Operations Director Ayesha Mumtaz, also imposed a Rs25,000 penalty on the Coca Cola warehouse after bottles with blurred labels were recovered and inventory management records could not be produced.


The PFA also sealed Unique Sweets and Bakers on Mohni Road for poor hygiene. The bakery’s management had failed to produce workers’ medical certificates. Expired sweets, some double-tagged bakery items, unlabelled bread and burger buns were found.

A PFA Shalimar Town team sealed Miraan Lajpal Pathooray at Main Bazaar Chah Meeran for poor hygiene and for operating without a food licence.
