Investment prospect: Haripur to be declared tax-free zone

According to Nawaz, every industrialist will be legally bound to employ 70% of the local workforce

HARIPUR: The federal government plans to declare Haripur a tax-free zone to attract investment in the industrial sector, said PML-N MNA Babar Nawaz Khan. He was speaking at a job fair held in Haripur on Wednesday. The event was organised by the Sungi Development Foundation (SDF). “The PML-N-led federal government will also develop 8,000 industries in the region,” he said. “This will generate economic activity and employment.” According to Nawaz, every industrialist will be legally bound to employ 70% of the local workforce. “Moreover, the Haripur Dry Port Project will create 300,000 new jobs for the people of Haripur,” he said.
