QUETTA: The Governor of Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that the restoration of peace in Balochistan was the result of joint efforts by civil and military leaderships. Speaking at a farewell dinner hosted in honour of outgoing Commander Southern Command, Lt. General Muhammad Naseer Khan Janjua in Governor House on Tuesday, he lauded the services of General Junjua he rendered for the development and restoring peace in Balochistan. Chief Minister Dr Malik Baloch, provincial ministers, MPAs, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah, tribal elders and senior civil and military officers were also present on the occasion. The Commander Southern Command, Lt. General Muhammad Naseer Khan Janjua while speaking at the dinner asked the youth to put down arms and adopt the path of peace for a peaceful Balochistan. “I am very thankful to the political leadership of Balochistan and youths who extended their help and cooperation to him for fulfilling his dream of peace in Balochistan,” he said.
