ISLAMABAD: Senator Mushahid Hussain on Tuesday said that the region is finally settling down after 1979 and that wrongs are being reversed. He also stated that the CPEC will give priority to less-developed provinces particularly the western route through K-P and Balochistan. Mushahid Hussain, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on CPEC and head of the Senate Defence Committee, expressed these views to a select audience of the Oxford and Cambridge Society, during a lecture on “Pakistan and the Changing Regional Scenario”. He said that Pakistan and the region have been in the eye of the storm since 1979 after the revolution in Iran and the Soviet invasion and occupation of Afghanistan.
