Pak-China friendship has survived the test of time and working together in different fields will help both the countries prosper, said Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad at the 66th anniversary celebration of the People's Republic of China on Monday.

The event, held at the Pearl Continental Hotel, was attended by the Consul General in Pakistan Ma Yaou, diplomats and ambassadors.

The consul general talked about relations between the two countries and said that Pak-China relations are their diplomatic priority. Yaou said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is a significant part of China and Pakistan's bilateral relations.

"CPEC will not only help economically but will also work towards regional peace," he said.

Addressing the audience, the governor said that the Government of Pakistan admires China's development. "China has a significant role at the international level," said Ibad.
