LAHORE:

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Punjab Organiser Chaudhry Sarwar on Monday called for a judicial commission to ensure transparent import of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

He also expressed reservations regarding transparency during by-elections in the Punjab and reiterated the party’s demand for the Army to be deployed at polling stations.

Sarwar also called for a parliamentary committee to ensure on-merit appointments in national institutions.

He was addressing a public meeting at MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal’s office in Samanabad. He was joined by PTI Punjab deputy organiser Umer Sarfraz Cheema and contestants of the NA-122 and PP-147 by-polls Abdul Aleem Khan and Shoaib Siddiqui.

Sarwar said a Supreme Court Commission was required in order to make the LNG project transparent.
