Did Ahmed Shehzad just rope in Gayle for Pakistan Super League?

Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad and West Indies batsman Chris Gayle engage in some friendly Twitter banter

Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad and West Indies batsman Chris Gayle engaged in some friendly Twitter banter on Monday, in connection with the former's recent marriage.

It all started when Shehzad wished the 'World Boss' a happy birthday, but wasn't too happy that the left-hand opener would not be attending his wedding reception.

And while Gayle expressed disappointment over not being invited to the wedding, he wished the Pakistan opener well for his marriage.

The next few exchanges revolved around whether Ahmed really did invite Gayle or whether he really did want to tie the knot. We're happy to report that both were in the affirmative.

But things really got interesting when Shehzad asked the flamboyant batsman for a wedding gift.

And if Gayle's tweets are to be believed then the newly married Shehzad actually managed to, as he said in his words, give a 'gift' to the entire nation by roping in Gayle for the Pakistan Super League. Let's hope he sticks to his word.
