Suspicious Circumstances: Woman set on fire dies

The police have registered a case against them

ISLAMABAD: A woman died after she was allegedly set on fire within the Lohi Bher police jurisdiction on Friday. Zaheer Mumtaz, a resident of Lohi Bher, lodged a complaint with the local police stating that Safdar, Nadeem and Maria, residents of the same locality, broke into his house at midnight, held him hostage at gunpoint before locking him in a room, and then doused petrol over his wife, Shazia Bibi. They later set her on fire, and she died on the spot. The alleged attackers then fled the scene. The police have registered a case.
