Unlawful Stay: Two dozen Afghans held

According to a police spokesperson, cases against the arrested men were registered

RAWALPINDI: Police arrested nearly two dozen illegal Afghans residing in the city during a raid on Saturday. Ratta Amral police arrested 22 Afghans who lacked proper documentation. According to a police spokesperson, cases against the arrested men were registered. Under the Punjab Tenants Ordinance 2015, details of new tenants must be provided to police within 24 hours of giving possession of the property, the official added.
