Fatalities: Nine killed in tractor-trolley accident

DI KHAN: Nine people from a nomadic family were killed in a road accident in Paharpur tehsil of DI Khan within the jurisdiction of Kari Khaisur police station on Saturday. Talking to The Express Tribune, a police official said, “The [Afghan] family had recently arrived from Wana, South Waziristan and was travelling near Awan nullah when they lost control of their tractor-trolley and the vehicle fell into a canal.” Three women and six children were reported dead, while three others were severely injured. The police took the bodies into custody and handed them over to the relatives after a post-mortem.
