Cooperative Societies: ‘Land record being computerised’

He said Rs45 million would be spent on construction of the Regional Cooperative Training Institute in Bahawalpur

LAHORE: Minister for Cooperatives Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer said on Wednesday that land records of cooperative societies in the province are being computerised. He said Rs95.34 million has been allocated for this purpose and several new development schemes at a cost of Rs204 million are underway. Channer was presiding over a departmental meeting. He said the Cooperative Training College Faisalabad would be upgraded and Rs159 million had been set aside for the purpose. He said Rs45 million would be spent on construction of the Regional Cooperative Training Institute in Bahawalpur. He said the cooperative housing societies system was running in a transparent manner.
