Pakistan-maldives : President calls for agreements
Linkages with those Maldives nationals who have studied or received training in Pakistan to strengthen relations
ISLAMABAD:
President Mamnoon Hussain has called for an early implementation of agreements signed between Pakistan and Maldives for the enhancement of cooperation and identification of areas to further strengthen bilateral relations. He asked Pakistan’s High Commissioner-designate to Maldives Vice Admiral (Retd) Sayyid Khawar Ali to follow up on the recent successful visit of the President of Maldives to Pakistan for increasing bilateral trade between the two countries and directed him to play his role in urging investors from Maldives to take advantage of the liberal investment policies in Pakistan. He emphasised on the importance of greater people-to-people contact and the need to establish linkages with those Maldives nationals who have studied or received training in Pakistan to further strengthen relations.
