Age relaxation: Fairer relaxation in youth recruiting urged

CHITRAL: Leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party Sherpao group (PPPS) on Monday demanded inclusion of Chitral district for age relaxation in recruiting the jobless youth, as in Malakand Division.

A public meeting of PPPS was held under the chairmanship of President PPPS Irshad Mukarar, Tehsil Drosh, while former Provincial Minister Haji Bakht Baidar Khan was chief guest on the occasion.

The speakers notified the provincial government had given age relaxation of one year in employment to jobless youth of Malakand Division but Chitral had been exempted from this facility. They also demanded remission of agriculture loans from poor peasants of Chitral.

The speakers criticized the Drosh Police for patronizing drug traffickers and morally corrupting the local youth. A unanimous resolution was also passed during the meeting, through which they urged the federal government not to withdraw the blasphemy law.

They demanded practical work on Golain Goal Hydro Powerhouse and early completion of the Lowari Tunnel, where work has been suspended due to blockage of funds to the Korean construction company, Sambu.

They also pledged to serve exemplary penalty to gang leaders of the timber mafia for their involvement in deforestation.

The speakers also demands fulfilment of vacant posts of doctors and paramedics at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Drosh.
