Both films struck a chord with the Bollywood megastar, especially Katti Batti.

These past few weeks Aamir has been in the spot light, not because of his films, but because of he cried at two back-to-back film screenings -- Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Katti Batti.

And everytime he cried, he made it to the list of top trends on Twitter. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Aamir explains his emotional connection with the films and how the countless jokes on him crying served as good laughter.

"I read all the jokes (on Twitter). I was reading them and laughing. I don’t remember the jokes now, but there were some really good ones. I quite enjoyed all the attention," said the actor.

The big brown towel has gained quite the popularity since the Bajrangi Bhaijaan screening and has become a favourite target among Twitterati.

"When I started watching the film, I didn’t have a towel or anything. But I got very emotional in the second half, so I asked my boy to get me something, and he got me that," he laughed.

Instead of shying away from the cameramen, he chose to be indifferent to his surroundings.

"Why should I hide what kind of a person I am... I’m a highly emotional person and I’m not afraid to show it," he said.

Answering a question on why Katti Batti moved him to tears, Aamir said it was because the film reminded him of his own love story.

"It’s an extremely emotional and moving story about the beliefs one has in love and the extent to which one goes for those beliefs. It reminded me of moments from my own life.

"I am an obsessive kind, emotional... I am a sucker for Mills & Boon stories. The film reminded me of moments that I have been through that were highly romantic, intense and obsessive," he revealed.

But that's how far the actor was admitting to divulge, he refused to reveal who or which part of his life he was talking about. When questioned if he was referring to Reena, his former wife, he laughed and denied it.

"We should not go into that. Let’s not talk about my personal life," he said.

Rumours are also abuzz that this Bollywood megastar is taking an interest in Salman's upcoming film Sultan because it's based on wrestling just like Aamir's Dangal. Apparently, he even suggested script alterations so that the two films are not similar but the PK actor was quick to refute.

"No, That’s not true. The scripts are not similar at all. Salman is a dear friend... he’s just had a big hit in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and I am looking forward to Sultan. I am sure it would be a great film," he said.

A while back SRK commented that it’s possible a film with all three might just happen. Could it?

"If the script is good, why not?" he says.
