Accommodation: New hostel inaugurated at UVAS

UVAS Non-Teaching Staff Association also arranged a farewell ceremony for its outgoing president, Qazi Akram

University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore Vice Chancellor Prof Talat Naseer Pasha inaugurated a girls’ hostel at the City Campus on Monday.


A press statement issued by the UVAS on the occasion stated that there were 22 rooms in the new hostel. The statement said that the construction of the new hostel was a testimony to the university’s commitment to providing comfortable accommodation to its students.

Besides the hostel warden, Matiur Rehman, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof Kamran Ashraf, Dr Muhammad Afzal, and project director Amer Nasim Khan.

Separately, the UVAS Non-Teaching Staff Association arranged a farewell ceremony for its outgoing president, Qazi Akram, on Monday. Akram has retired as a senior technician in the Department of Medical Health and Services. The farewell ceremony was chaired by Dr Pasha.
