“Circumstantial evidence suggests the victim might have been tortured before her death,” he said, but said there were no signs she was strangled to death.

The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. The police registered statements of eyewitnesses, collected evidence and sent them to a laboratory for further investigation.

Police further said they were waiting for the results of the autopsy and have initiated a search for the family of the victim.
