Enhancing cooperation: Pak, Afghan and WHO officials meet

QUETTA: Pakistani, Afghan and World Health Organization (WHO) officials held a meeting in the bordering city of Chaman on Friday to discuss the issues regarding crippling polio virus that is consecutively paralyzing children in both countries. The meeting was held at Bab e Dosti (Friendship Gate) where health officials from both sides emphasised on concrete measure to halt the crippling disease. Thousands of children travel into both countries on daily basis from the bordering town but we have to make sure that each child crossing the border is being administrated with anti-polio drops,” health officials of both countries added. The Pakistan delegation was headed by District Health Officer (DHO) Chaman Dr. Sultan Muhammad while officials of WHO were also presented in the meeting.
