PPP leaders, activists gather at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh

Strict security measures put in place as thousands reach Naudero to pay tribute to Benazir.

NAUDERO: Peoples Party Pakistan (PPP) workers and leaders from across the country are gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to pay tribute to late PPP leader Benazir Bhutto on her third death anniversary today (Monday).

Visitors are also offering prayers at the graves of the Bhuttos. Quran Khawani for the former prime minister is also being held at the graveyard.

Strict security measures have been taken on this occasion. Over 5,000 policemen, Rangers and intelligence officers have been deployed in Naudero to provide security during the third death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. Medical camps have also been established on the routes through which caravans will be passing.

President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to address a large gathering later in the day.
