Land Allotment: Officials caught falsifying documents

BAHAWALPUR: The Anti-Corruption Department has registered a case against Colony Clerk Azhar Qureshi and Patwari Nadeem Iqbal after they were proven guilty of illegally allotting land owned by the Treasury Department using fake documentation and fake bank seals. Police said Qureshi had prepared the fake documents for 100 kanal land in Chak 12/DNB to be allotted to Muzaffarr Hussain. He had added a fake stamp and signature of the Yazman assistant commissioner. Police said he had also placed a fake seal of the National Bank Yazman Branch on amount payable slips. Petitioner Rana Maqsood had filed a complaint.
