A shaky morning: Minor earthquake jolts K-P

No casualties have been reported so far

PESHAWAR: An earthquake of 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale hit the northern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday morning. Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Chitral, Shangla, Lower Dir. According to the Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the earthquake was Hindu Kush region, Afghanistan. No casualties have been reported so far. However, the quake triggered a wave of panic and a large number of people rushed out of their homes.
