Chief Minister Pervez Khattak will lead the provincial team for a meeting with Nepra to discuss the thorny subject of net hydel profit on Tuesday (today). All parliamentary leaders of the provincial assembly will accompany Khattak to the meeting.
According to a handout, Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan advised provincial government not to bring up controversial issues such as payment of NHP as per the Kazi Committee formula.
He added the government must insist on a rate of Rs1.10 per kWh. Shumail Butt, legal adviser for the provincial government, will request Nepra to allow the claim of Wapda and get NHP fixed at the agreed rate of Rs1.10 per unit.
In case Wapda opposes the suggestion, the legal adviser and the provincial team would sternly resist.
