Terror in Hangu: ANP councillor killed in IED attack

Two persons were also wounded in the explosion that occurred in the Tora Wari area of Hangu district

HANGU: A district councillor belonging to the Awami National Party (ANP) and another man were killed in a roadside blast in a southern district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday. Two persons were also wounded in the explosion that occurred in the Tora Wari area of Hangu district. Malik Mumtaz, who was recently elected district councillor, was attacked when he was en route to the Doaba area from his native Tora Wari village along with his friends Javed, Imamdin and Zahida, according to a local police official. An improvised explosive device (IED), planted by the roadside, was detonated when the vehicle they were travelling in drove past the Tora Wari area.
